New K-Pop Monthly Magazine Launched Featuring Chart Ranking, News and Gayo Columns

An officially recognized new monthly K-Pop magazine has been launched in Korea.

The K-Pop published its first issue on July 25 and around 1,500 copies were distributed around the Seoul and Gyeonggi-do area.

The K-Pop will feature a monthly chart ranking based on the Gaon Chart and also include news stories, monthly columns about K-Pop and photo shoots of popular idol stars.




This month’s issue did a special ranking of the first half of 2012 in categories such as downloads, streaming, album sales and more. The same issue also contains a pictorial with T-ara, IU, ZE:A, Boyfriend, U-KISS, Gang Kiz and After School.

The monthly magazine will be distributed for free but in limited quantities. Those wanting to receive the magazine regularly at the convenience of his or her own home can have the magazines delivered monthly with only a delivery fee.
