Super Junior Kyuhyun Learned How to Be an MC with Spiteful Remarks

Feeling the absence of his variety show mentor, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun revealed a behind-the-scenes story that touched his heart.

To be released on July 20, fashion and lifestyle magazine @star1 interviewed Kyuhyun, asking about how he ended up making malicious remarks to stars on MBC’s Radio Star.




Kyuhyun replied that he learned through his mentor, Kim Gura.

“He’s not the kind of person who’ll teach you in an affectionate way. He believes in raising the star in the roughest way possible. When I couldn’t adjust at the beginning, he coached me by poking at me from all sides.”

“After a few weeks of becoming an MC for Radio StaR, I received a text message from him saying, ‘You got better.’ I was so touched,” said Kyuhyun, “Although he seems like he doesn’t care, but he does and I was very touched by Gura hyung.”




While Kyuhyun continues to reign as the spiteful MC on Radio Star, he with the other Super Junior members recently made their comeback with hit single Sexy, Free & Single.

To talk about their comeback and what happens in their daily lives, Kyuhyun, Leeteuk, Yesung, Sungmin and Donghae gathered in Nonhyundong, Seoul with @star1 and took paparazzi like photos in the neighborhood.
